C. Douglas (Doug) Tyson
Doug's lifelong interest and curiosity in the natural and built environment along with his ongoing fascination with anything electronic led him first to film format
photography and then to digital media.
Capturing the literal and figurative landscape and finessing it with montage and the digital darkroom characterizes Doug's
expression in photography.
Tutoring, fine art printing, digitizing, retouching images with Photoshop are some specialties.
Studying the photographic arts
with Freeman Patterson, André Gallant, Michael Reichmann, John Paul Caponigro and Trina Koster continue to profoundly influence the way Doug sees
the world through the lens.
